Former pound-for-pound king and five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr (49-0, 26 KOs) will fight UFC superstar Conor McGregor on August 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Mayweather, 40, made the official announcement on social media on Wednesday, confirming that he will come out of retirement to face 28-year-old McGregor in a boxing match.
The bout will be contested at the light middleweight limit of 154 pounds. No major world titles will be at stake.
