The Art of Fighting 2 now available for Xbox One; The Last Blade available for PlayStation 4

NEO GEO fighting game The Art of Fighting 2 has recently been released for the Xbox One, adding to the console’s abundant NEO GEO port collection. The Last Blade 2 has also appeared on the PlayStation Store, following the lead of Xbox Live, which has had its version of the port since May. These releases seem to coincide with Fatal Fury 2 being released on the Nintendo Switch, and it continues the general trend of present-gen platforms bulking up their assortment of retro titles — particularly fighting games of the SNK variety.

The Art of Fighting follows the story of Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia a year after it was revealed that antagonist Mr. Karate was, in fact, (spoiler alert) Ryo’s father, Takuma Sakazaki. The classic game premiered in 1994, but you can purchase it on your Xbox One today by clicking here.

Set in Japan’s Edo period, The Last Blade features a cast of eclectic sword-slingers in a story that is heavily influenced by Japanese mythology. First released in 1997, this SNK fighter rocked its fans with stunning visuals and a unique fighting system that was ahead of its time. You can pick it up for PlayStation 4 here, and for Xbox One here.
