Studio Trigger’s Kazuki Nakashima is writing a new story for Kill la Kill the Game: IF starring Satsuki Kiryuin

Arc System Works recently revealed some new details regarding the story of Kill la Kill the Game: IF. Specifically, the game will feature an original story starring Satsuki Kiryuin, series deuteragonist and rival of Ryuko Matoi.

The new story is being penned by none other than the original writer of the Kill la Kill anime, Studio Trigger’s Kazuki Nakashima. The story diverges from the original plot Kill la Kill, around the middle of the anime’s story.

As part of this new story, Satsuki gains a new costume called “Junketsu Shinzui”. The new costume, designed by Shigeto Koyama with touch-ups by Kill la Kill character designer Sushio, is meant to be Satsuki’s counterpart to the “Senketsu Kisaragi” that Ryuko wore during the latter part of the anime.

Interestingly enough, “Junketsu Shinzui” was an unused design that was originally shown in one of the art books released for the series. In fact, the silhouette of the design that ArcSys has released (which you can see below) does seem to be based on that unused design.
