Terry Bogard Fights His Way to Smartphones in New Garou: Mark of the Wolves Port

Grab your iOS or Android devices and get ready to slug it out in a fully-realized port of the SNK classic, Garou: Mark of the Wolves. This new version of the old-school fighter, which hit iTunes and Google Play earlier today, comes complete with a full roster of characters, arcade mode, training mode, and everything else you’d expect from a fighting game–even the ability to play against other people.

That’s right, the iOS version of the game offers full online multiplayer through Wi-Fi. Sadly, the Android version doesn’t include this feature, but it does allow for battles over Bluetooth, so you won’t be stuck fighting alone.

And since we’re all thinking it, yes, touch screens aren’t exactly conducive to high-level play of any kind, let alone fighting game play; but not to worry, the game is compatible with various MFi controllers, so pad players will feel right at home. If you’re cool with just sticking to deft finger taps to get your combos flowing, however, this port offers both four- and six-button layouts for the closest experience to the real thing that you can get on a touch screen.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, you can grab a copy now for $3.99. To check it out in action, take a look at the trailer from SNK Playmore below.
