With three NetherRealm titles proceeding it — Injustice: Gods Among Us, Mortal Kombat X, and Injustice 2 — the fact that Mortal Kombat 9 still sees play shows that it is a title that stands the test of time.
At Thunderstruck in Mexico, two of the current best in the title sat down to play a long, high-level set against each other. Between ETC McFly’s Kung Lao and Under the Mayo’s Quan Chi, we see a neck-and-neck battle of amazing reads, setups, and spacing that show Mortal Kombat 9 at its purest competitive form.
