Recently, Arc System Works dropped a ton of details regarding the upcoming home console releases of Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- over on Twitter. These tweets gave additional details regarding the game’s 64-player online mode and provided some good news for players buying the game for PlayStation 3 who may want to upgrade to PlayStation 4 later on.

First up, each and every player online will have a unique R-CODE. This code contains information such as their win-rate and will also store a default character who can be easily selected by the player, bypassing character select.

When connecting to a match online, the network induced delay will be shown in real time. This delay will be measured in frames. It will not, however, be shown to spectators. To help players adjust to online play, the game’s training mode will allow them to simulate the network delay, anywhere between 1 and 20 frames.

Finally, for those who are buying the game on the PlayStation 3 but are considering getting it for the PlayStation 4 in the future, ArcSys has confirmed that the game’s downloadable content will be cross-buy, meaning that buying it for one console will make it available for the other.

Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- will be available on consoles in Japan starting December 4, with a North American release scheduled for December 16.
