With Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-‘s console release looming just over the horizon, old and soon-to-be fans of the series are understandably excited to finally get their hands on it. But if you count yourself among those who will be making their first venture into the world of Guilty Gear with this new title (and especially if airdashers aren’t your go-to games), it may be difficult to know where to start.
Thankfully, Honzo Gonzo has put together two lightning fast tutorials that cover all of the basics for Faust, a longtime cast member who will be making another appearance in Xrd. In about 90 seconds total, Honzo covers Faust’s best options at far, medium, and close distances as well as anti-air options and some basic combos to get you started. While this information applies to Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R, much of it will transfer over to the next iteration.
Even if Faust isn’t the character that you’re intending to main, these tips offer a great starting point to understanding how the game’s engine works.
