Longtime producer for Final Fantasy XI, Akihiko Matsui, has stepped down, with Yoji Fujito taking over. The game’s team is downsizing and focusing mostly on narrow content refreshes and maintenance.

Final Fantasy XI opens part one of the final chapter of the Voracious Resurgence this month. The most recent update also refreshed Ambuscade, and made adjustments to the chat filter.

Final Fantasy XI is getting its next update on January 10th. The Voracious Resurgence continues, Ambuscade rotations will happen, and there will be new objectives.
