He Is Power Made Flesh! Explore the Evolution of Street Fighter’s Akuma
I’m a sucker for footage from classic Street Fighter games; always love to watch those old 2D sprites beat each other up. XusesGB also did more of these for Evil Ryu and Sakura.
Frame 2:
See the Faces Behind the English Voice Cast in Street Fighter V
I think voice actors deserve all the recognition they can get–they’re too often overlooked for their contributions to our games and animation, but that does seem to be slowly improving. By pairing the faces to the voices, this is as close as we have so far to what a recording session for Street Fighter V would have looked like.
Frame 3:
Urien Is Coming to Street Fighter V, Alongside New Stage Transitions and Much More, on September 22
It never rains, but it pours. There’s just so much in this update that Street Fighter V has needed to feel “complete!” Vs. CPU mode, stage transitions, and stat-tracking! Just: wow.

Arcade Hacker Project Releases CPS2 Desuicide Method to Public
It lives! Thanks to some work by dedicated arcade hackers, anyone with a dead CPS2 arcade board can bring their games back to life, using this method and some specialist hardware.
Frame 2:
Daigo now has a Triple Crown for Guinness World Records; one for his SFIV ranking, another for Evo Moment 37, and one for having the highest earnings of any pro-gamer in 2010. Let’s hope he can break some more records in SFV.
Frame 3:
Wavedash Games Reveals Kidd the Space Goat, Their Interpretation of the Space Animal Archetype
Wavedash Games’ interpretation of the Space Animal is also a massive tribute to the GOAT of Super Smash Bros. Melee, Joseph “Mang0” Marquez who is often known as “The Kid.”

LostFeather’s King of Fighters XIV Combo Exhibition: A Combo for Every Character
King of Fighters XIV is the flavor of the month, and I’ve been known to indulge. Watching LostFeather do work with every member of the cast is great fun–and I have to admit, I might be a little jealous of his ability to make it look so easy.
Frame 2:
Mr Lz Hammers Home His Dominance with Mr. Game and Watch in This Project M Combo Video
In the land of 2D, Mr Lz is king. Almost single-handedly responsible for the notoriety of Mr. Game & Watch in Project M, PM’s child prodigy is to blame for all sorts of painful flashbacks for even the best players, and this combo video shows off exactly why.
Frame 3:
Have a Peek at Some of BlazBlue: Central Fiction’s Combos for Ragna, Jin, & Hibiki
It might not be out yet, but that hasn’t stopped anyone from hopping into the demo for BlazBlue: Central Fiction and start exploring. It’s always a pleasure watching Ragna the Bloodedge go ham, and there’s plenty of that to be found here–with some combos from Jin and Hibiki for good measure.
