Heavyweight contender Andrzej Wawrzyk, who was due to challenge WBC champion Deontay Wilder on February 25 at the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama, has failed a drug test.
Poland’s Wawrzyk tested positive for an anabolic steroid during random drug testing, which was carried out by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association, as part of the WBC’s Clean Boxing Program.
WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman tweeted: “WBC confirms that Andrzej Wawrzyk has tested positive anabolic steroid ‘Stanozolol…
