Welcome to the Rollback: a frame-by-frame look back at our past week’s most notable news–and our favorite SRK articles–from April 21 to April 27, 2017!

Frame 1:
Creating mini-games to improve your own gameplay
Crow_Spaceboy offers some advice on identifying what holds back your improvement in a fighting game, and how to find more engaging ways of grinding your troubles out.
Through what appears to have been a timing mix-up, the PlayStation Store listing for the 2017 Season Pass inadvertently revealed that Ed is the next DLC fighter for Street Fighter V. Now it’s just up to Capcom to officially admit it.
Frame 3:
Bandai Namco is bringing Gundam Versus to North America–check out the announcement trailer
The upcoming mech throwdown has now been confirmed for the Western market, so Gundam fans here will also be able to boost and battle sometime this Fall.
Frame 4:
Slice, Dice & Rice review: One swing, one kill
This one-hit-kill fighter, having just launched on Steam yesterday, seeks to raise the departed spirit of old Bushido Blade–and according to our review, it gets pretty close while bringing its own flavor to the genre.
Frame 5:
Teabag like a pro with desk’s in-depth Street Fighter V video tutorial
desk steps away from impractical combos and uploads a video that teaches you that most vital of Street Fighter V skills: how to teabag, as absolutely fast as you can. After all, it’s a central component of some of the best pro players’ game, right?

Darkseid brings forth the wrath of Apokolips in his official Injustice 2 gameplay trailer
Injustice 2 is quickly approaching and (personally at least) hype is reaching a feverish pitch. We knew that Darkseid was in the game, but this glimpse of how he will actually play has only made that fact more exciting. Check it out!
Frame 2:
Ensure you never miss with Ketchup’s Injustice 2 Deadshot impressions from Insomnia Gaming Festival
More Injustice 2, but this fascinating breakdown from Ketchup is well worth a read. Ketchup is one of the most thoughtful voices in the NRS scene, and his impressions of Deadshot are worth their weight in gold.
Frame 3:
Mic’d Up: HoldBackToBlock documents Bronson Tran’s remarkable Tekken 7 run at NCR
This is quite possibly my favorite bit of content about Tekken 7 ever. Bronson Tran’s mouth moves at a mile a minute, and a lot of what he says–in amongst the trash talk–is actually fascinating. The trash talk is entertaining too.
Frame 4:
Can you hear me now? Day one REV 2 strategy for Guilty Gear Xrd’s newest character: Answer
Upcoming games seem to be the flavor of the month, because this in-depth guide to Guilty Gear Rev 2’s new character, Answer, is well worth a read. Get ahead of the competition and start theory-crafting now.
I didn’t even know this game existed, but this tournament was a brilliant exhibition of how terrific it is to watch, when played at the very top level. I love checking out Mikado’s retro game events, and this is no exception.
Extra Frame:
