Many have been quick to assume that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is nothing more than an “expanded port” of Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U. Yes, the reused assets and similar play-styles do point to this conclusion, but enough has been found thus far to truly show the differences between the two games. What really matters now is character adjustments.
Most of the changes to characters are uncertain so far — all we have to go off of is promotional material and demo booth footage, reducing what can be found to “accidental” discoveries. The full game will release in about a month, which will open the floodgates to frame data, move properties, and visual details… but despite this, theory videos and early impressions are already surfacing the internet. Below is Mad Ice King’s analysis of Robin’s changes, based off of the content that is available so far — if you’re looking to tip the scales on December 7th, it couldn’t hurt to prepare a little bit.
