After Playing Fallout 76 Two Months Early, Young Patient Succumbs, Bethesda Donates $10k to Family Fund

Earlier this fall, many gaming fans were touched when Bethesda’s Matt Grandstaff drove for over two hours to take a pre-release copy of Fallout 76 to 12-year-old Wes who wanted to play the game but was afraid he wouldn’t live to see release day. Sadly, his prediction came true and he passed away on November 3rd. A few days after, Wes’s GoFundMe page was updated with a $10,000 donation and a sweet message from the Bethesda development team.
