After Meltdown’s Luffy proved his name deserved to be included among the best Ultra Street Fighter IV players in the world after placing first at Evo 2014, it wouldn’t have been a stretch to think he would repeat that performance at DreamHack Winter 2014. High off his win in Las Vegas and closer to his homeland, the stage was set for the French competitor to once again take Rose (and his PlayStation controller) to the top.
Only it wasn’t in the cards. Luffy would be eliminated at fourth place with a loss to Itabashi Zangief of Razer, leaving the the final spots to a trio of eastern players consisting of the aforementioned grappler, his teammate Fuudo, and AVerMedia’s Gamerbee.
If you missed out on the action in November, Capcom Fighters has finally started uploading replays. We’ve included every piece of finals footage below, so feel free to check it out and head over to their official channel for more. Full results can be found in our coverage hub.
