Take a First Look at Charlie Nash’s Gameplay in Street Fighter V, Beta Access Options Announced

Until today, little information surrounding the addition of Charlie Nash to the Street Fighter V roster has surfaced. Since his announcement at Capcom Cup 2014, fans could do little more than speculate about the sort of character they’d see once the long-absent fighter made his triumphant return to the screen.

Today, a good deal of the mystery faded with the release of his gameplay trailer, which you’ll find below. As expected, the blonde, bespectacled brawler comes equipped with his classic one-armed Sonic Booms and his own take on the Flash Kick, as well as a handful of teleportation skills that look to offer him mixup tools akin to what we saw from Wesker in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Though the video only shows off about ninety seconds of Charlie doling out justice against Ryu and Chun-Li–leaving much to remain a mystery–we do get a close look at his character design, which features Frankenstein-style stitching holding together two different tones of flesh. Stick around until the end to see a static-laden image of a cackling M. Bison which could very well tease an upcoming reveal of the Shadowloo ringleader.

As an added bonus, the trailer mentions that Beta access to Street Fighter V will be available to those who pre-order the game. While no official dates for the Beta have been indicated, it’s exciting to see that this option will be available at some time in the future.
