The folks at Bros. Calamity can’t exactly rewrite history, but they can begin creating a brighter future for players who insist on rocking a necktie without a shirt.
Thanks to the pull effect of his initial jab and the knock back effect of his down tilt, Donkey Kong can create a situation similar to jab locking. As demonstrated in the video below, this combo isn’t an infinite, but can tack on a respectable amount of damage at low percentages against certain cast members.
Additionally, the video includes a segment dedicated to locking opponents with down air. As you might expect, these lock situations require that the opponent miss their tech, but if they do, they’re in for a world of hurt.
