Rock, Paper, Shotgun has a neat article to show off some of the new artwork found in Underworld Ascendant that, as the title implies, “seeks to recapture a retro sense of fantasy, fantasy the way our inner child remembers it”. The idea is to actually move away from “photorealism” and back to an art style that is more reminiscent of what the word fantasy embodies.
