Street Fighter V’s rollback based netcode means that online tournaments are now a viable form of competition. One such tournament was the ESL’s online Asian qualifier for Brooklyn Beatdown.
Throughout the month of August, multiple top players from the region participated in tournament matches, until the field was whittled down to just eight players. This final eight man bracket included professional players RZR|Xian and eventual tournament winner GGP|Kazunoko, as well as top online players Adelloon, Lineni, NL, Tourniquet, and xyzzy.
While the tournament wasn’t originally scheduled to be streamed, the Imperium Pro Team stepped in to handle streaming for the event. They’ve now uploaded the replays, with English language commentary by IPT.PromilKid and yours truly, onto their YouTube channel.
