Bafael Points Out Interesting Gameplay Potential in Street Fighter V Teaser

Taking time off from making Street Fighter IV tutorials, Bafael recently shared a video where he shares his impressions of  Street Fighter V’s gameplay trailer.

While a lot of what he talks about, including how the stage may hint at Yun and Yang, have already been discussed, he also provides a few unique insights. For example, he points out that Ryu using his Denjin Hadouken super art may hint at a possible alternative defense mechanic similar to parries. In Street Fighter III, a fully charged Denjin was unblockable and could only be parried, and while this wasn’t the case when it Gouken got it in Street Fighter IV, you have to recall that the game wasn’t originally designed with Denjin at the start.

Another interesting thing that he points out is that Ryu and Chun-Li have different jump heights, possibly hinting at one of two things. Either characters in the game will have different jump heights, or the game itself will allow for different jumps similar to how Street Fighter III had normal and super jumps for all characters (as opposed to Street Fighter IV having them only for a select few).

These are just some of the things that Bafael has observed from the trailer, so give the video below a spin to see what else he has to say.
