With the recent announcement of Dragon Ball Super characters Beerus, Goku Black, and Hit joining the cast of Dragon Ball FighterZ, it’s easy to forget that these aren’t the first two characters from the series to join the game. The Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan version of Goku and Vegeta are also coming to the game as early unlockable characters for those who pre-order it.
Now, most likely to help remind people that these two exist (and help drive pre-orders), Bandai Namco are releasing individual trailers for these two: starting with Goku.
Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (or Super Saiyan Blue, for short) is a concept that was explored more in Dragon Ball Super — as such, the moves Goku does here reflect the many new things he’s learned in the series. This includes the ability to power himself up more by combining the form with the Kaio-ken technique, which is demonstrated as part of one of his super moves in the trailer below.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 26 in the West, and February 1 in Japan. For those looking to get a taste of the game, an open beta is coming this January.
