
Excellent DVD with great instructions, clear and easy to follow. I was really impressed with the boxers used for the demonstrations.
I have started to use the bag at the gym to ramp up my cardio fitness and to add more variety my workouts. The circuit programs suggested are demanding but that is what its all about. My skipping still needs practice, but this DVD has really helped.
If you are looking just to get fit or start boxing with correct form and instruction then this DVD is for you.
If you have done a bit of boxing before and understand how much there is to it, you will want a resource that helps encourage you to keep up the training. This is more than adequate for the job. From basics like stance and punch types right through to full workouts to help you get into shape this is a pretty good DVD.
The instructor is clearly experienced and his tone is knowledgable and down-to-earth throughout. The DVD is divided into mini chapters which I found was useful as it usually takes me more than one go for me to learn a technique correctly. I’m back in the boxing gym now and on days when I’m not i’ll go through a chapter or two to go over any weak areas that have been highlighted.
While there’s no substitute for getting yourself into a good boxing gym if you want to learn to box, I would say this DVD is as useful as gloves and a gumshield if you’re going to train properly.
