Hard knockdown into big damage — from what may be a glitch.
One of the most frustrating things about fighting Abigail in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is how he can get big damage and steal games with the help of his V-Trigger I. Usually, players have to use the game’s wake-up options to get try to avoid getting hit by the charged unblockable from the V-Trigger.
Now, for those players frustrated by this (or for any Abigail players looking to make him even deadlier), Brian_F has shared a video demonstrating how to perform a setup that leaves the opponent in a hard knockdown state, forcing them to face the unblockable attack head-on.
In the video below, he demonstrates what seems to be a glitch that leaves opponents hit by only the first hit of Abigail’s run flip-kick, into a hard knockdown. By using this set up with V-Trigger I, this pretty much gives Abigail a free unblockable meaty on characters who do not have an invincible reversal.
Of course, Brian also states that he doesn’t expect this to remain in the game for long. Will this be patched out next season? Only time will tell.
