Canada Cup Gaming and Cygames are hosting the ninth annual Canada Cup this weekend. This year’s event will be held as part of the Enthusiast Gaming Live Expo (EGLX) at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, with a packed line-up of twenty games.
As one of Canada’s premier fighting game tournaments, Canada Cup 2018 is an important event for multiple pro circuits and tournament series. Canada Cup 2018 is the site of the Tournament of Legends III Finals, included Last Chance Qualifiers; the final standard Premier Event for the 2018 Capcom Pro Tour (excluding Regional Finals); the final event in the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Tournament Series, for Street Fighter III 3rd Strike; a Tekken World Tour Challenger Tournament; a Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Dragon Radar Event.
As such a major events, some of the best players in the world will be in attendance, including Tournament of Legends III invitees Mattsun, Komoda, Murasaki, Kusumondo, Shogatsu and Daigo Umehara. For a full list of players as well as live brackets, check out Smash.gg.
