A-cho arcade in Osaka, Japan has been known as a hotbed for retro fighting games for a long time. If there’s an arcade board for it, odds are that it will be found in this mecca for retro fighters. Street Fighter EX2 is no exception, as the game receives frequent play at the establishment.
While Fighting EX Layer has proven to be a worthy successor to this late ’90s title, watching these videos show how much the mechanics of the new title differ. While you may see some noticeable changes – -the custom combo Excel system and the lack of back rolling on knockdown — many things, including loose juggles and cancelling supers into supers, remain the same.
