EG|Justin Wong, Snake Eyez, and CCG|Chi-Rithy Join Capcom Fighters for Latest Round of Player Spotlights

The team at Capcom Fighters recently released another set of player spotlight interviews, designed to help fighting game fans learn more about some of the scene’s biggest players before this December’s Capcom Cup.

Today’s collection includes Justin Wong of Evil Genuises, Darryl “Snake Eyez” Lewis, and Canada Cup Gaming’s Henry “Chi-Rithy” Oung. As with previous interviews from this running series, the competitors discuss their history with the fighting genre, their greatest wins, and the losses that have really stuck with them.

When a player like Justin Wong has achieved so many things in his professional gaming career, it’s interesting to hear that he claims the victory at GameStop’s Street Fighter IV release tournament as his greatest. The Marvel mastermind also discusses how he had to train for that tournament, which included many painful sessions using an Xbox 360 pad, an area well out of his comfort zone.

It’s no surprise, however, that Wong also mentions Daigo Umehara’s infamous parry moment, which he remembers as both his greatest loss and a victory of sorts because it helped to breathe life back into the genre during the dark ages before the rebirth of the fighting game community as a whole.
