Former unified light welterweight champion Danny Garcia (31-0, 18 KOs) scored a 9th round stoppage over fellow American Paulie Malignaggi (33-7, 7 KOs) on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The unbeaten Garcia, who has now moved up to welterweight, punished former two-division world champion Malignaggi with his hard shots from the start and cut him over the right eye.
