Microsoft’s rebooted Killer Instinct just received a massive patch. The patch primarily brings with it a host of balance changes and bug fixes. However, alongside these comes a new mode: Shadow Lords.
This new campaign mode allows players to play and unlock a host of items exclusive to this mode. These items include the so-called “Guardians,” which add unique abilities to any characters who equip them. Additional unlockables include the new “Astral” stage and unique Mimic skins.
