Unbeaten three-time world champion Roman Gonzalez (41-0, 35 KOs) stopped Filipino challenger Rocky Fuentes in the first defence of his WBC flyweight title on Saturday in Yokohama, Japan.
Nicaraguan Gonzalez sent Fuentes to the canvas with a combination in the sixth round and the referee stopped the bout at 2:11 of the round.
Gonzalez captured the title with a ninth-round TKO of Akira Yaegashi in September.
