WBO super flyweight champion Naoya Inoue (12-0, 10 KOs) scored a 6th round TKO over former WBA champion Kohei Kono (32-10-1, 13 KOs) on Friday night at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, Japan.
Japan’s Inoue got the better of countryman Kono throughout and finished him off with two knockdowns in the 6th round.
Inoue was landing hard shots from the start and while Kono showed his toughness and was always throwing punches back, he was getting outpunched by the unbeaten champion.
