With there being a notable sea change in Samus’ position on the tier list over the past few months, more players are starting to unlock the true potential hidden within her Power Suit. Specifically looking at the follow ups which result from her down air, Dendri has produced a video which goes over many of the combos the bounty hunter can perform off of a clean hit.
With plenty of auto cancel frames, good range and a powerful spike at the end of her Beam Cannon, Samus can rack up decent damage at almost any percent with her down air. Many of these combos can be negate if the opponent techs on the ground, but it is helpful to know the potential follow ups if you land this move in neutral. Samus can potentially get a kill from as low as 40% if she lands a down air on stage with a fully charged Charge Shot, so it’s worth at least giving these combos a look.
