Novril tackles downloadable content in fighting games in the latest episode of EFG Extra

One of the most contentious aspects of modern gaming is downloadable content. This is something that even fighting games have adopted, with additional colors, cosmetics, and even characters being made available for purchase.

In this new edition of EFG Extra, Novril from Chemical Lovers tackles this issue, looking at things from a developer’s perspective. Here, he takes a look at the reason why DLC is made, including but not limited to the fact that most titles in this nice genre of ours aren’t designed to make a profit with the initial release. He also takes a look at what good and bad DLC is, including what kind of DLC would be beneficial in the future.
