With the recent announcement of Mortal Kombat 11 sending the community into a frenzy of hype, U.K. NetherRealm Studios commentators and content creators PND|Ketchup and Mustard have finally released the second Episode of their new series, “The MK Meta.” After discussing the legendary Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 back in January, the duo now turn their attention towards the game that began the NRS competitive scene, and brought the franchise to new heights in 2011, Mortal Kombat 9.
Covering the massive amount of gameplay features, the roster, meta-defining bugs and glitches, some of the more notable top and bottom tiers of the game, as well as the fascinating beginnings of this community’s first foray into true competition, this 43-and-a-half minute video is absolutely a must-watch for any fan of MK, new or old.
Despite this being their longest project to date, the Condiment Brothers have promised to continue the series, but don’t feel like revealing the next game they’ll cover just yet.
