Rivalries are a great thing for any community. They can form between friends, between top players, between regions, and sometimes between entire countries. A lot of US players tend to think of Japan as their primary rival in Street Fighter games, with so much focus being put on what Japan is doing in the latest title. Japan has their own rivals too, like their nearby Korean competitors.
TOOLASSISTED rerecorded many fights between the two regions from a Street Fighter V exhibition set (though for some reason they loop after about an hour and a half, leading to the 11 hour length…). His video does interestingly shows the inputs, frame data and hitboxes for all the sets, which is very informative to watch.
If you want to experience the streamed fights without anything extra added, you can watch the VOD of the Japanese stream at MOMOCHOCO’s channel here.
