The weekend is almost upon us, and that means local Street Fighter V tournaments and friendly gatherings will soon be popping up in abundance. Before you hit your local session, study up with some of today’s roundup footage!
So far, our Street Fighter V roundups have featured loads of combos, tips, and tricks, but very little by way of actual match footage. We’re going to change that today by kicking things off with a few videos featuring sets between UltraChen TV’s David “UltraDavid” Graham and BROKENTIER’s Jay “Viscant” Snyder. On top of raw match footage, these videos come complete with commentary from UltraDavid himself.
If you’re looking to create pressure without putting your life on the line with Ryu, this safe jump from MikeandIke12 may be just what you need. Following a light Tatsu, this option covers reversals off both regular and back recovery.
We’ve received a number of high quality combo videos for today’s collection. Persona offers their look at maxing out damage potential with Necalli, Dark Chaotix and pdcsky each take a look at Chun-Li’s options, and ArT took to the streets and figured out some creative ways to maximize Rashid’s juggle potential, making use of nearly every tool at the new contender’s disposal along the way.
He may be goofy looking, but F.A.N.G packs loads of damage potential up those wizard sleeves of his. Venom47 decided to take a look at the less-than-practical side of this newcomer, and I have to say that someone named Venom putting together a combo video so focused on poison damage is downright perfect.
Mr. Masters looks to be quite popular today, as both Anthony Piccaver and Berial Plays have offered up combo compilations for the man with the flaming kicks. These combo videos lean more toward practicality than dropping the jaws of viewers, so they’re a good place to get started if you’re new to Ken.
We wrap things up today with a look at the lighter side of Street Fighter V. After being put on blast by a series of resets and well-placed buttons, vryu123’s poor victim felt it necessary to drop from the match in an effort to preserve their precious League Points. There’s no penalty for doing so, so why not?
But before that, they unleashed what may have been the most appropriate Street Fighter V taunt to date.
There’s still plenty of new tech out there! Have you found something of your own? Send it to us, and we may include it in our next Street Fighter V community roundup.
