Watch Over 3 Hours Footage from Japanese Arcade A-Cho’s 2v2 Ultra Street Fighter IV Team Tournament

A-Cho Arcade in Kyoto, Japan is a popular spot for hardcore fighting game players. Though the arcade itself mostly runs events for anime games like BlazBlue and Melty Blood, at the end of January A-cho ran a nice Ultra Street Fighter IV Team Tournament. The footage was just uploaded this week and, in addition to the individual strengths of its players, there’s a wide variety in their character selection.

I never like seeing games “go away,” and places like Mikado and A-Cho always remind me why. The T-Hawk player “Pork,” in particular, really impressed me. Then again, I’m a real sucker for the traditional grappler vortex he makes such strong use of. I get hype for command grabs, and if you do too, this tournament is for you. It’s also just interesting to see how this game continues to develop in 2017!

What do you think? Does Game A-Cho’s throwback tournament make you want to run your own USFIV event?
