The Unreal Engine has, in the span of a few years, become the game engine of choice for building fighting games. From starting out powering NetherRealm Studios’ games, it’s now also the engine behind games such as Street Fighter V, Guilty Gear Xrd, Tekken 7, and of course, Capcom’s upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
Producer Mike Evans recently got a chance to talk about Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite in Unreal’s developer interview series. While he does mostly cover topics that have already been discussed, Evans also talks a bit about what Unreal Engine brings to the table, and how it helps them in building their latest fighting game.
