VesperArcade talks about changes found in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, including Ryu’s added “donkey kick”

A look at the balance changes discovered at PSX in the upcoming build of Street Fighter V.

The new V-Triggers were the highlight of the demo build of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition on display at PSX; but naturally hands-on play revealed additional differences between SFVAE and the current Season 2 system.

In the video below, VesperArcade talks about some of the differences that were found: starting with the change to throw loops, apparent increased recovery time on command grabs, nerfed anti-air jabs (again), and a detailed examination of how Ryu’s returning Joudan Sokutogeri (“donkey kick”) appears to work.

It is known that the version of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition shown off at PSX is not the final retail version, so we still may — and likely will — see changes between what we saw there and what arrives in-game on January 16th.
