World of Warcraft – Blizzard’s Latest Charity Pet Brings in Over $1.8M for Red Cross

Late in 2017, Blizzard sold Shadow, a battle pet and / or plush toy themed on World of Warcraft, to raise charitable funds for both the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Society’s as well as for the American Red Cross. Players helped bring in over $1.8M through this one pet alone. Over the years, World of Warcraft players have contributed over $15M to charitable causes through the sales of these battle pets and through other charitable donation opportunities.
