FGC Philosophy talks with Gootecks on his FGC origins, success through determination, and more

Co-founder of Cross Counter TV Ryan “Gootecks” Gutierrez’s career started with a dream far removed from where he is now: he wanted to own a record label. Without money or a connection to the music industry, Gootecks sat down and did what would become his calling card: he learned about video and audio editing from the ground up. While these skills didn’t parlay to the creation of a label, they did allow him to turn around and apply what he had learned to another love his life: fighting games.

The moral of this story is that he was always doing something, adding skills and applying what he learned to new aspects of his life. If you’re a fighting game player, or just someone interested in content creation, Gootecks’s most recent interview is a fascinating look into the path, trials, and tribulations of an FGC original.
