There’s been a lot of speculation and anticipation for NetherRealm’s Next Mortal Kombat game. With The Game Awards fast approaching, many believe that the next MK is going to be announced there.
Now, a voice actor who’s worked on the Spanish version of Mortal Kombat X has made some tweets that hint at the new game. In a recent tweet, Lalo Garza, the Spanish voice of Reptile and Kung Lao in Mortal Kombat X, stated that he was sad that he wouldn’t be able to voice those characters again in “Mortal Kombat XI.”

He later follows this up with a clarification, stating that he doesn’t really know if the game is called “Mortal Kombat XI”. However, he does state that there is something being made, and that his disappointment comes from not being called on to voice those characters.

Of course, this isn’t confirmation that a new Mortal Kombat is going to be announced at the Awards, or even soon. However, this does add to the mounting pile of evidence — including Ed Boon himself confirming that NetherRealm is working on a new game — that a new MK is coming.
