The past weekend featured incredibly heated action from Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-: the Arc System Works’ air-dasher fans were treated to top-level Guilty Gear play from most of the best players in the country, and even two people from the game’s homeland, Japan: CO|Dogura and CO|GO1.
BjornSonOfBear’s Chipp Zanuff is something to behold, as he tackles Japan’s Maneater. This is sort of a repeat from SoCal Regionals 2016, where the two faced off against each other. Typically, Dogura goes with Raven first, but then loses and switches to Sin Kiske. Whatever the outcome, the crowd roared with every mix-up, combo, and Overdrive, cheering the American Ninja as much as possible.
“Playing the Japanese even for those short sets made me remember that there are lots of holes in my play that I take for granted and am not punished for because there are so few players in the US with extensive experience against my character,” BjornSonOfBear told SRK.
