Capcom Fighters interviews DS|Falco at Battle Arena Melbourne 9, discusses the Australian Street Fighter V scene

Capcom Fighters sat down with one of Australia’s best players, DS|Falco, during Battle Arena Melbourne 9. He ended up being the highest-placing local player at the event (tied with fellow countryman WP|bksama), and he has a pretty interesting opinions on the infrequently-documented Australian scene.

“Our internet is quite poor, so we have no online scene,” Falco admits. “And we have a smaller tournament circuit compared to other scenes. We have an event like this, the international players show up, kick everyone’s ass. We catch up by the end of the weekend, they leave, come back, and it happens again.” He also discusses his choice to stick with Chun-Li, why he will go to Evo Japan over Evo USA, and why a random dragon punch from an Australian is different from a “random” DP from, say, Daigo Umehara.
