Capcom Pro Tour 2017 Prize Pool and More Locations Revealed in the Official Trailer

The Capcom Pro Tour begins with Final Round 20, leading to the final 32 at Capcom Cup 2017.

As promised, Capcom has provided some more information on this year’s Capcom Pro Tour and Capcom Cup, via a new official trailer. According to this overview, there’s over $600,000 up for grabs in the Tour’s overall prize pool. In addition to confirmation of a last chance qualifier at Capcom Cup 2017, the trailer reveals that 2016’s champion Liquid|NuckleDu will be returning to defend his title.

According to the video, in order to qualify for Capcom Cup 2017 players need to be in the top 30 of the Capcom Pro Tour global leaderboard–making for 32 competitors heading for the Cup at the end of the tour, including the last chance qualification and the returning champion. The trailer also confirms the following new and returning stops along the tour, (some of which we knew already):

  • Combo Breaker 2017 (Chicago, IL)
  • EGX 2017 (Birmingham, England)
  • Ultimate Fighting Arena (Paris, France)
  • CEO 2017 (Orlando, FL)
  • TW Fighter 2017 (Taipei, Taiwan)
  • NCR 2017 (Sacramento, CA)
  • DreamHack Summer (Jonkoping, Sweden)
  • SCR 2017 (Los Angeles, CA)
  • DreamHack Austin (Austin, TX)
  • Esports Festival Hong Kong (Hong Kong)
  • Canada Cup 2017 (Toronto, Canada)
  • Battle Arena Melbourne (Melbourne, Australia)
