After a massive series of departures from Punk, Scar, Theo, Momochi & ChocoBlanka, Justin Wong, Saint & JDCR, their FGC Division Manager Boeken, and even Tokido, Echo Fox has (surprisingly?) signed a new fighting game player as of today, in the form of 2016 Capcom Cup Champion, Du “NuckleDu” Dang. He will be joining SonicFox, Dekillsage, MKLeo, and Mew2King in the organization’s fighting game division, meaning that they once again have a Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition player among their ranks for the 2019 Capcom Pro Tour Season, beginning next month at Final Round 2019.

Echo Fox president Jared Jeffries had the following to say about the newest member of the FOXFAM. “NuckleDu is a young player who has proven himself to be one of the best in the world. His dedication to improvement, his dramatic flair, and his desire to compete at the highest level make him a perfect for Echo Fox.”

The recently signed Du also tweeted that he is, “extremely excited for this year,” and that he’ll be, “going all in!” Du’s recent performances include winning Defend The North and East Coast Throwdown 2018, getting 13th at ELEAGUE, 4th at Tokyo Game Show 2018 and the Red Bull Conquest NA Regional Finals, placing 7th in the NA Regional Finals Open Premiere, and ending the year with a 13th place finish at Capcom Cup 2018 last December. Known utilizing the triple threat of Guile, R. Mika, and Cammy, his roster took some big hits in the Season 4 balance update, so it will be interesting to see if he continues to use that trio of characters, or if he’s got some new fighters under his sleeve for the upcoming Season of competition.
