Here’s a Sneak Peek At a Beautifully Animated Street Fighter Fan Film

When Capcom first started promoting Street Fighter V, their main tagline was “Rise Up” encouraging fans, both competitive and casual, to rise up and express their passion for the franchise.  Now, one creator has taken on that challenge and risen up to create something quite beautiful.

Now some of you may already be familiar with Paul “OtaKing” Johnson’s work. The animator first caught the internet’s attention with the release of his Star Wars fan-film “TIE Fighter”. The short, is an homage to LucasArt’s classic TIE Fighter space flight simulator franchise. What made it catch the eye of many fans was the fact that Johnson lovingly animated the film himself, doing it in the style of old 1980’s cartoons and animé.

Now, he’s turning his attention to Street Fighter with a new fan film. He’s released a short clip from it featuring everyone’s favorite dictator, M. Bison alongside a horde of Shadaloo troopers. You can check it out below.

Johnson’s target for the film is around 20 minutes, which would make it one of his longest animations to date.
