While last month saw King of Fighters ’98 released on Steam, SNK Playmore hasn’t forgotten about their fans on consoles. According to a listing discovered on the Game Rating and Administration Committee’s website, Sony Computer Entertainment Korea recently submitted King of Fighters ’94 Re-Bout for classification.

Originally released in 2004, Re-Bout utilized PlayStation 2 hardware to provide higher resolution graphics and introduced two new playable characters, Saisyu Kusanagi and Rugal Bernstein. Despite a planned North America release, the title never made it out of Japan, which would make this possible launch on PlayStation Network rather noteworthy.

As of now, no official announcements have been released by SNK Playmore regarding this title, but we’ll keep you updated should more information become available.
