Latest SoulCalibur VI footage reveals additional in-depth impressions and gameplay

While we wait for more SoulCalibur VI information — unable to play — it’s hard to stop watching the gorgeous game. Recently, a couple of UK YouTubers had the opportunity to play the upcoming weapon-based fighter from Bandai Namco. They recorded fairly high-level fights between many of the characters, as well as detailed their impressions from playing.

First up, History Behind the Warrior recorded a video where he shares his overall thoughts on the game. He breaks it down in several parts, noting the quality of the graphics, the feel of the game, and the uniqueness of each fighter.

He also uploaded some more gameplay, showcasing Kilik, Mitsurugi, and Grøh. Maybe it’s not top-level gameplay, but you can definitely see a fairly good grasp of the game from all players, so it’s good to watch. There are quite a few Kilik combos, including launchers ending with Critical Edge.

Next up, Ketchup & Mustard recorded lengthy sets between old-time SoulCalibur players, Hyrul and Silent Joel, who play Xianghua and Sophitia. They both do some cool combos and effectively utilize the meter mechanics, Soul Charge and Critical Edge. They also seem to use Guard Impacts much more frequently than some of the other players we have seen.

Now, if you’re looking for a more in-depth retelling of their impressions, refer to the video above.

SoulCalibur VI is set to release sometime in 2018. Recently, we found out that Ivy and Zasalamel will join the playable cast.
