While Mortal Kombat co-creator, Ed Boon was brought out on stage at The Game Awards 2018 to announce the Best Sports/Racing Game of 2018, there was a brief “glitch” in the system, announcing Mortal Kombat 11 in all of its bloody unadulterated gory glory.
Featuring “Custom Character Variations”, players will be able to make fighters match their own playstyle. Mortal Kombat 11 also touts a new graphics engine ensuring that every strike looks more dynamic than ever. Expect characters both old and new with an epic story mode seeking to be the best in the genre.
Mortal Kombat 11 is releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on April 23 with a community reveal event coming January 17. Those who pre-order the title will gain access to Shao Kahn as a playable character and the upcoming beta.
