NorCal Fight Club League Returns in January, B League Qualifiers Begin Tonight

Earlier this year, Pandora House brought Northern California together with the NorCal Fight Club League. Taking nods from TOPANGA’s own league, various members of the local community were gathered to compete in a round-robin competition to decide the region’s Ultra Street Fighter IV champion.

After three intense rounds, Evil Geniuses’ Ricky Ortiz would come out on top, cementing her first-place finish with a ridiculous undefeated streak throughout the entire event. Along with Ortiz, Julio of Macro Micro Games, Pandora House’s own HooDaMan and LPN, and Kelvin Jeon of AVerMedia were selected as the very first A League participants due to their similarly high rankings in the final standings.

Of course, where there’s an upper league, there needs to be a lower league, right?

NorCal Fight Club’s B League will be comprised of the four players who just missed qualifying for A League (in this case bjUNCHAINED, El Cubano Loco of Macro Micro Games, Crackfiend, and Nando) as well as twelve new qualifiers. These up-and-comers will be decided at two separate qualifying events, the first of which is scheduled for this evening.

NorCal Fight Club League will begin in earnest starting January 9.

Tonight’s event is set to take place at Milpitas Golfland in Milpitas, California, starting at around 8 PM PST. A live stream will be provided by Pandora House for folks not able to attend in person, so be sure to tune in and catch all the action live.
