Panda Global Renews Filipino Champ’s Contract for 2016

With consistent top 5 placings for Street Fighter V at DreamHack Austin, Northwest Majors 8 and West Coast Warzone 5, Panda Global has decided to renew their contract with Ryan “Filipino Champ” Ramirez for the rest of 2016. F Champ will continue to fly the flag for Panda Global at CEO, Evo and perhaps within the finals of Capcom Cup 2016, based on his current placing of 14th in global Capcom Pro Tour rankings.

He will, of course, still be competing in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and will no doubt try to draw a line under his rivalry with the Chilean competitor BE|Kane Blueriver by beating him on the largest stage in FGC history. According to Panda Global CEO Alan Bunney in a statement to ESPN, F Champ “is the embodiment of what makes Panda Global tick,” and according to him, holds the title of “the most electrifying player in the FGC.”

In addition to his partnership with Panda Global, Filipino Champ is also in the running to be a Bud Light eSports All-Star, being nominated alongside Chris Tatarian, Jason “JayceTheAce” Nghe, and Winterfox’s Gustavo “801 Strider” Romero. You can still place your vote for Filipino Champ–or any of his competitors–for Street Fighter V’s eSports All-Star by following the instructions on Bud Light’s official site.
